If you like surfing you will relate to this novel.. Very raw, the characters are well developed.. Winton describes the sea and surfing really eloquently.. Some sexual references in the book might be a bit eye opening for some.. it was for me...In sum, its about success and broken dreams and the aftermath of that brokeness.. unsual and interesting..
