Loved the english prose on one page while italian version was on the other. Great way to read a classic. All translated classics should be done like this in my humble opinion.

Excellent. I don't know what the Italian is for, but the English sections is pretty good.

Was recommended by a friend. Surprisingly easy to read (thank you, Mr. Pinsky). Especially enjoyed the historical information provided in the footnotes. Probably would have enjoyed it more if I had read it at a younger age as the meaning of life and it's consequences is not as high a priority at this stage of my life - my own judgements are well ingrained at this point. Well worth...more

Loved this version of Dante's Inferno -- Geryon was especially amazing, as was the gang of Homer and boys. I also enjoyed the change to the sign over the entrance to hell: "Abandon all hope you who enter here."

A good bit of christian work. very captuing at times...there is a part in this book that relates to everyone. I would sugest this book to anyone who is religious...but being non-religious myself it was still a good read.

The book is quite easy to read but still a bit difficult to comprehend. Great Translation though.
