Contrary to popular belief, I don't hate Sylvia Plath. I just didn't like the Bell Jar.
I like her poetry a lot though. I've read Ariel, the collection, but I couldn't find that on this program so I'm assuming this is the same book.
Anyhow, I liked the poetry a lot better. There was just more imagery, more ideas, a lot more depth than I got from her other work.

I also found some of the poems to even have a sliver of hopefulness at times, a bit of cheekiness too.
