This book is excellent. For half of the novel, I was convinced it was non-fiction. It inspired me to google all the names and places in the book, and there were actually fake websites to back it all up! That is definately an impressive way to use current-day technology to fool the web-savvy reader to a greater extent.
I also think this book states something about Ellis' character, as a person, despite the fact that his novel-life is VERY different from his real life, I think there is at least a metaphorical parallel here.
This book also his apoetic level I didn't think was possible from a writer of such pieces as American Psycho & Less Than Zero. The ending made me cry.
I admit it's missing "something," and it was not at all what I expected, but I loved it anyway!
