Goerge Orwell is probably one of the best essay writers of his time. He examines many of the important issues of his day with a critical eye and keen observation. I enjoy reading this collection over and over again.

Check out his essay on the perfect cup of tea. He may not be right on some of his political ideas, but he knows exactly how to make a nice cuppa!
