I found the fifth book in this series of The Number 1 Dective Agency as enjoyable as the others.All the familar characters appear, including Mma Ramotswe, who has only one new case to investigate,but has time as usual to muse on the workings of human nature. Mr J.L.B Matekoni, and his hapless apprentices, Mmma Potokwani, the manager of the orphan farm, Mma Makutsi,assistant detective all have their part to play, but the highlight of the book is a wedding and a parachute jump.Descriptions of the heat and climate of Botswania add to the general atmoshere. Looking forward to reading many more in the series.   hide

After all the hoopla I have heard about this series, this book was very disappointing. I read it in a couple hours on a Saturday. The plot was pretty boring, but I will say that the author describes everything beautifully. I'm not planning to read anything else in this series.

I don't know if I am getting bored of this series, or this was a particularly uneventful book, but I read it in approximately 2 tube journeys and didn't get much from it at all.

Another great one in the series!
