Gotta love these books. There's wisdom on every page.

Every book and every story has its own pace. Yes, this series has a slow and loving and cheerful one, so vant wait it to be another Dan Brown... I love all the books by Alexander Mc Call Smith, he is a kind philosopher and his books make ppl happy and calm.

I still enjoyed this but things are slowing up a bit compared to the earlier books

a good fast read

Smith creates interesting characters, but his #1 LADIES and DALHOUSIE books move like molasses. I don't know about you, but I read mysteries for the mystery, not to be overloaded with piddly details of the lives of the characters. This book has several rabbit trails to nowhere while the "mystery" languishes on Smith's back burner.

all of smith's book teach fascinating morals to any age group.

Quality easy read from a great series of books by Alexander McCall Smith..

I love this series and the characters. The books are not wildly different from one another, but I enjoy them all.
