didn't enjoy this one quite as much as the others in the series.

I love Alexander McCall Smith's characters - the Botswana detective Precious Ramotswe, and the Edinburgh philosopher/detective Isabel Dalhousie. These are wonderfully strong, complex, interesting women, and Smith manages to evoke the places in which they live so that they come alive for the reader.
