this book is both hilarious and annoying. neal pollack's relentless pursuit of being a "cool dad" definitely gets tiresome by the end, but i really liked the warts-and-all portrayal of parenting and adult life. he fully admits that he's still going to smoke weed and drink too much and go see bands play despite the fact that he's a dad..which is cool and all, but i get the feeling his wife doesn't...
more this book is both hilarious and annoying. neal pollack's relentless pursuit of being a "cool dad" definitely gets tiresome by the end, but i really liked the warts-and-all portrayal of parenting and adult life. he fully admits that he's still going to smoke weed and drink too much and go see bands play despite the fact that he's a dad..which is cool and all, but i get the feeling his wife doesn't end up having nearly as much fun as he does, saddled with their son, and that pissed me off. i still found it an enjoyable read though.
