Interesting but wordy - I know, that's lame - but sometimes you have to slog through it. It's worth the read, and I haven't read any of his other works - I think to be an educated person, one should read his work. It was enjoyable, but you have to have the time to focus on it.

rushdie won me back with this tale of the indian emperor akbar, with its beautifully told kneading stories that would spark even the most uninspired's imagination.
