This book has it all: travel, botany, neurological medical mystery. What an adventure!

Incredbly interseting, no doubt, but a bit of a dry read.

Very interesting to read about the debilitating problem of total colorblindness. Fun to travel with author to a South Pacific Island where a very high percentage of population are totally colorblind.

He then goes on to Guam and Rok, in search of cycads, palmlike plants that have survived since the Carboniferous era, which may or may not be responsible for a rare neuroligical...more
