this is great. and i believe someone produced an international film based on the book, which i have also seen, and which i also love. i love the life and times of Che.

I could not put it down, this one could be in my top 3 travel book, and i even don't like bikes. The movie was petty good too.

An instant favorite of mine: Motorcycles, South America, Fishing and Leftist Revolutionaries can you see why I like it? The writing is on the dry side and very journalistic but still good.

Since I have been wearing a t-shirt for the past few years with the classic Che image on it, this book was my intro to El Che. Good travel writing often combines an actual journey with a quest.This is the author's approach here, as he chronicles a 10,000 mile motorcycle journey through Argentina, Chile, Peru and Bolivia and a quest to understand how the young Ernesto Guevara became Che. It was a solitary trip, and those who see the appeal of traveling alone will probably like the book more than those who don't....more
