more An extremely accessible non-fiction. Not only does Ellis manage to steer clear of too much information in too little page space, but he also makes everything extremely readable. His characterizations of the Founding "Brothers" are mostly the reason for this, making these painted portraits real, breathing men. You feel as if you almost know these guys, despite the fact that... well, you didn't. There were a few draggy chapters, especially the one dealing with slavery, but all in all, it was an easy, informative and sometimes intriguing non-fiction read, which is pretty outstanding in its own right.
