read the spanish version, and something must've really got lost in translation: very "thin narration", poor dialogues.... reading the english version is still pending...

I enjoyed the quality of the writing, the deliberate telling of the story gave the landscape it's own character. I am not a fan of the western but there was a certain dark humor to the tale that kept me reading and reading. I honestly doubt I will read another book by this author, I read this one before I saw the movie because that's just what I do. I am glad I did.

Enormous disappointment.
