If you have never been to fallingwater, I can tell you that after studying fallingwater and then visiting, I was struck by how much joy I had walking the grounds and how child like I was to walk through this wonderful piece of Architecture.

This account of Fallingwater is largely a mixture of the history of the Kaufmann family and modernist architecture. Curiously, Frank Lloyd Wright probably gets less time, although the coverage is still extensive. I found the book heavy going, and this layperson thinks that a background in architecture would be very helpful. Finally, I would say that this is a book to read after having been to...more
