Everything I expected from a Graphic novel, but not in a bad way.

There are some parts where his time changing gets confusing. I liked how Clowes makes a statement of how women feel during sex, that's realistic. Also liked the details that made parts of the mystery behind the characters, like the little drawings he found in Wanda's apartment... Interesting.

Something in its subtleties seems to contain the most accurate and clear picture of humanity I have ever read. It just seems to make sense, I was overwhelmed by every page. Need to give this a second read.

I would recommend Boring to any fan of the graphic novel, or anyone interested in...more

Absolutely brilliant story telling -- there will never be a need to make this into a movie, because it already is. The very first drawing of Wanda is a fione example of what comic book art should be.

Strange, unique, anything but typical. A well-crafted story about life, obsession, and the end of the world.

Clowes crafts an apocalyptic drama noir out of film pastiches, Oedipal relationships. There's a lot of bizzare incestual/ psychosexual undertones here... Clowes draw the same odd lump in the hairdos of Boring's mother, cousin and lover.
