yes, i am another reader brought to tears by this one. craig thompson is a genious, the characters are vivid and wonderful, Solomon, Siamese-sisters, and Chunky himself, and the story is deep and moving. oh, a masterpiece among graphic novels.

The artwork is great, characters were more than two-dimensional and I'm a fan of sobbingly sad storylines (and Thompson's other book, Blankets), but I was a bit "meh" about this book. One deal breaker for me = graphic novel depiction of puppies drowning. It seems like it could be one of those books that gets better with repeated readings, but I can't do that since I have to return the book to the...more
