I expected to like this book. I didn't. It was disjointed and much of it was not compelling. But that didn't bother me as much as the writing. Her statements about love and death were trite and, after awhile, extremely annoying. Some interesting gender ambiguity and interspersing of historical stories. I will likely give her another try but I can't recommend this one.

The brilliant storytelling and sexual tension make this a great read. Too bad I can't find my copy.

there is no limits for what this crooked world can serve for... and the internet is a tool, and not a religion. this novel is beautiful, as much as many of Wintersons novels.

People over a certain age should be barred from using the internet as a metaphor for anything, ever.

Great second one to read after The Passion
