This books tempo goes form really interesting to down right boring and back again. It was a good read but hard to get through some of the less interesting chapters.

Exceptional viewpoint on why terrorism doesn't work. Carr brings in countless examples to back his viewpoints. If you enjoy learning as you read, this is a book for you

A worthwhile read, provides a comprehensive overview of the failures of terror doctrine including the consideration of critical junctures in which terror organizations attempted or could have attempted to change tactics to integrate into legitimate society.
