It is an interesting book for teenagers, but can also be read by adults. Although it is quite different from His Dark Materials Trilogy which is serious and in a way sad, and Count Karlstein is funny and witty. I didn't like the part where the writer used different characters as narrators, I would much more prefer if the narrator was only Hildi. But still the book was good. And I especially like the fact that it was made from a theater play. It would be fun to watch the play.   hide

A book of unique writing style that provides each character's story and perspective written in a diary manner. It is not only a bedtime story for children, but also a good leisure reading for anyone who is dreaming for a thrilling adventure.

Definitely for children...I bought this, not having read outside His Dark Materials at the time, and expecting something at least decent enough.You can guess your way through the plot and you'll be right.
