more I was impressed at his writing skills with the first installation (despite criticisms of Paolini's effort, as a collegiate English tutor, I've read manuscripts of 20-30 year olds that could not compare to that of this then fifteen-year old). His writing has definitely grown with him, for eldest was far more satisfying. To those of you criticize his "theft" of great fantasy authors, consider the "greats," both classic and modern: Tolkien, Lewis, George Lucas, Terry Brooks, David Eddings, and Piers Anthony ... all their works had the same overarching theme and many of the same subthemes. It was simply the details that filled out their settings, plots, and characters that were different.
