it was a great read!

This author has a wonderful writing style...almost like poetry at times. The ending left me a little confused, but an interesting book.

This is my all time favorite book. I was captivated from cover to cover. I really liked it because the writing style was unlike anything i have read before. I recommend this to anyone.

The Book Thief was a better read!

I must say that I love Markus Zusak's writing style. This story was very unique and the plot flowed nicely. Great character development. Recommended. :)

It took me until the end to realize I really liked this book, but I really did. Left me with many thinking points - which I love in a book.

hmmmm....okay, well...it was just..... weird. I liked it fine, but it was just...odd. I do love the way this author writes. He also authored The Book Thief, which is hands down one of the best books I have ever read. But, this one was in a whole different ball park altogether. I found myself bored in a few places, thinking...enough already, get to the end. And I also felt in a few places...more

He also authored The Book Thief, which is hands down one of the best books I have ever read. But, this one was in a whole different ball park altogether. I found myself bored in a few places, thinking...enough already, get to the end. And I also felt in a few places that the author wrote the book with it becoming a movie (later on) in mind, which bothered me. I didn't exactly care for the ending in this either. I will say I like the relationships this author builds between characters. He really brings you in, as you are almost one with them. But...it was the storyline I just found strange. I really can't imagine this being for young readers either, which is who it is supposedly geard for. Uh..not so much. At least not in our house. Oh well. Overall, it was interesting and I don't regret reading it. It's just not a "favorite".   hide
