more Last Friday, I went to the Thrift Store to poke around and see if anything interesting had appeared on the bookcases at the back. I've had good luck there in the past, and fortunately, this was no different. I found Louis L'Amour's "The Quick and the Dead" which was a fun read...and I found Donkey Donkey.
You may laugh that a grown woman got excited over a "kid's" book, but laugh away. When I was a young child, I cherished this book that I remember vividly was read to me by my Mom. I'm an artist now, and I recall that the amazing illustrations and paintings in the book helped to inspire me to draw animals myself. It's a lovely story about individuality with many enjoyable characters.
Pick it up for yourself or a son/daughter, niece or nephew. They'll love it.
