This is a fantastic sequel to the original. Still full of amazingly silly stories, Sachar adds almost a semblance of a plot to the hilarious collection of stories with running gags and all the like. Great fun for kids.
Both this book and the tape for it (read by the author) completely fascinate my 7 year old. We have listened to the tape twice and he is reading the book for the third time. I think this is going to be a favored series for a looonnnggg time.
I read this book in 5th grad and remember really loving all the short stories about the students and teachers. I read several of the Wayside school books and enjoyed them all. They were funny, crazy, and creepy all at once.
