Possibly the greatest sci-fi/fantasy book ever. Simmons draws on practically every aspect of philosophy, science fiction, fantasy, mythology, and religion. This was a decent read. The concept is interesting and I always do love interpretations of The Iliad. Simmons's style is fairly straightforward and keeps the reader interested. While I would recommend this book, I would not necessarily recommend its sequel, Olympos.
