Excelente Libro de Dan Simmons. Es un libro que mezcla la Guerra de Troya, y personajes post-humanos. Empieza en el momento que Agamenón, rey de los aqueos (griegos), está reunido en las afueras de Troya, y está discutiendo con Aquiles, en frente de los generales de su ejército. Todo esto lo narra un escritor que ha podido "morphearse" en el cuerpo de uno de los testigos de ésta reunión. Bueno, luego tenemos más ciencia ficción. Muy bueno realmente. Me ha ayudado a revisar los personajes de La Odisea. Un poquito denso, pero bueno.    hide

Possibly the greatest sci-fi/fantasy book ever. Simmons draws on practically every aspect of philosophy, science fiction, fantasy, mythology, and religion. It starts slowly, but builds with mystery, great characters, and mind-bending logic that eventually explodes in an envelope-pushing conclusion that mixes all aspects together into a bizarre, compelling melting pot the likes I've never seen. Dan Simmons is one of the most talented writers alive, if not THE most talented. As another reviewer said, his skill and imagination are humbling. I can't recommend this book enough.   hide

Genius! The skill and imagination of Dan Simmons is humbling. I read philosophical sci fi a lot, so I'm not easily impressed with what people try to pass as new ideas, but this really pushes the boundaries and ofcourse I just LOVE the Hellenic theme.
