Dan Simmons is an incredible writer. So very imaginative, even if it does borrow from The Iliad.

I won't even attempt to map the snarl of references that Simmons works with in this bit of space operatical goodness. Suffice it to say that Shakespeare, Browning, Proust, Nabokov, and all the rest are in capable hands, and that big honkin' robots don't mean dumb.

Excelente Libro de Dan Simmons. Es un libro que mezcla la Guerra de Troya, y personajes post-humanos. Much more fun to read if you've hit the Iliad before. Reader's tip: Keep a cigarette handy for...more

Still not sure what I think about it. It's an interesting book but I'm just not sure it's a GOOD book yet. But the bredth of it is very impressive, as usual with Simmons.
