Crow Lake (Today Show Book Club #7)

a great read with lots of relationship among siblings ... and community ... the the long-term affects of life decisions.

Anyone who grew up in the sticks or loves the outdoors will appreciate this story. I read this in about 24 hours cause I just fell in love with this family.

Oh SO Canadian! And I loved the sub-texts about education...

This book was ok. I was always waiting and waiting for something to happen, but nothing really did until the end. Even then you expected it to happen. I feel there could have been more to the stories of the brothers, but it was mostly about the 2 middle children and how the little girl idolized her brother mostly. This book was ok. I was always waiting and waiting for something to happen, but nothing really did until the end. Even then you expected it to happen. I feel there could have been more to the stories of the brothers, but it was mostly about the 2 middle children and how the little girl idolized her brother mostly. The disappointment he was to her by sacrificing his dreams for her didn't make sense as by the time she was an adult you would think she would have been honored and proud at what he and her other older brother did for their family.   hide

I really enjoyed this.

A beautiful book that examines the relationship between a sister and brother as they grow up.

It was good. Started out a little slow for my taste, but I ended up intrigued and kept reading. It was a pretty quick read- only 291 pages. It's thought provoking with a lot of character development- would be good for a book group.
