A great read can’t wait to read the next instalment of the life of Genghis Khan; Temujin the leader of the tribe of outcasts up to this point was still called Temujin.   hide

i could not put this book down. i cat wait for the next one.

Fast, entertaining read. Very enjoyable historical fiction, can't wait for the enxt in the series gets into paperback.

I look forward to whatever historical (or non historical) series' Iggulden does in the future, I loved the Emperor series and thought the first in this series was fantastic as well.

Beautifully written story of how Genghis Khan's empire all began. The best version I've read of it so far.

I actually read Wolf of the Plains which is about Genghis Khan's early life. It is not on this list but i really enjoyed it and cant wait for the next book Lords if the Bow to come out!It might be the same book as Birth of an empire but the name is different in Australisn stores
