Nothing to Lose (Jack Reacher Novels)

I liked the story line. Good Reading

Good story...a little slow at first, but soon picks up and keeps you involved.

Not the best story by Lee Child, but still a good read - for me the plot was predictable and at the same time a little unrealistic compared to Child's other novels...though a good point about the Reacher books is that Child manages to integrate the stories and maintain certain facts and characters (even minor details) the same throughout the novels which keeps the stories...more

I was somewhat disappointed after finishing this novel. Lee Child doesn't stray from his rather predictable formula and the thrills are rather cheap.We've read it all before: Jack Reacher is the modern prototype of a brooding Superman that always manages to outwit, outplay and outlast, and always gets the girl, albeit for a while...

Another quick Reacher book. I like these because I always know that Reacher will prevail, despite the odds against him. Better than the previous book. However, Child puts too much of his political view about the Gulf wars.

suspenseful in beginning and cant seem to put it down..but then tends to drag on about nothing and the finale is rather disappointing

I suppose it was only a matter of time before Jack Reacher became the literary equivalent of the A Team. (although 5 guys cruising the country together in a van is infinitely more creepy) So, the formula trumps the plot: Reacher stumbles into a moral dilemma, beds the requisite strong-willed local gal, and despite totally misjudging the situation from the get-go, saves the day....more

Environmentalism - maybe it'll increase sales to tree-huggers! Religious fervor - why not! Like the cop using her infared equipment, you could see the ending sucked a mile away...   hide
