A sweet, poignant tale of unlikely love between Peggy, a lonely librarian approaching middle-age and James, a younger man of towering proportions. As James grows taller and more famous, Peggy's love intensifies. But like many great love stories, this one is bittersweet. I wouldn't call The Giant's House a riveting page-turner; instead, it's a lovely, lyrical read.

An unlikely romance, but completely and utterly believable. Tangible characters and intricate storytelling make this an absolute MUST-READ for all fans of a love story.

Love love love this sad love story between a librarian and a giant. Sounds like it would be ludicrous, or pathetic, but it's not, because McCracken is such a good writer. I wish she'd write something else soon.
