i started reading this book but could not get in to it and lost consentration which is a shame coz the the blurb makes the sound so good  so it is a shame that i couldnt get in to it i may try to read it again at a later date

My all time favorite book - Maeve Binchy has revisited a lot of characters in other books but I wish she'd do a sequel or somehow let us know what happens to these characters.

I have been a fan of Maeve Binchy for many years, since my aunt lent me Circle of Friends and I couldn't put it down. Firefly Summer has been the best of all the Binchy books. It is one of those books that you read over and over again.
I love Maeve Binchy's stories, but Firefly Summer is my absolute favorite. The story woven resonates with me to this day...I even fell in love w/the name...more

I love Maeve Binchy's stories, but Firefly Summer is my absolute favorite. The story woven resonates with me to this day...I even fell in love w/the name Dara (I already loved the name Declan) and maybe someday will have children to bless with those beautiful titles.   hide
