This was a great read. I had never read a "Ghost Story" before this book. Seeing that this book was about a ghost I was a little skeptical how I would like 'Twenties girl'. I love all of Sohie Kinsella's other books so I wanted to read this one too. The book is funny, entertaining, and the character Lara reminds me a lot of Shopaholic Becky. If you like the Shopaholic books...more

Fun and entertaining, not full of depth, but completely enjoyable and the characters made me laugh out loud at several moments, either just in the picture the author conjured of people in the midst of conversations and life dramas, or from the humour of the insight of the characters. A fun read.

Extremely compulsive reading, I gobbled up this novel in just one day. It's fun, with the quirky Kinsella twist and a few too many protagonist-putting-her-foot-in-it and otherwise embarrassing herself completely. Luckily these cringe-factor moments happen fairly early on and then the plot picks up. It's fun, and thought-provoking and also exceedingly bittersweet.

Lara has a problem, well lots of problems. Her new business partner has just up and left her, her soul mate has dumped her and is seeing someone else, and her dead great aunt Sadie is now haunting her. Sadie agrees to help her solve all her problems, and leave her alone if Lara will help her find her missing necklace. Choas ensues. I really liked this book: Lara and Sadie were both engaging...more

LOVED THIS BOOK! It was a bit slow going in the beginning but it was worth it in the long run. I was afraid at first this was going to be like her last book-Remember Me-not so memorable. But it was like she suddenly switched gears again and the book was as enjoyable and engrossing as her Shopaholic Series although this heroine wasn't as ditzy. This is a must-read for all Sophie...more

Aweosme book! I couldn't put it down and I just kept laughing trough the book. It's hilarious. After the last book from Kinsella I thought she might have lost her touch but she's back! I loved it! It was also very touching and had many different characters that are opposites from another which makes it even more versatile.

The book starts out bland. Very quickly, however, it becomes very intricate and funny. There's a reason for a dull beginning- because the change taking place within the heroine and the reader of the book is stark, uplifting and empowering. This book is whimsical, with unexpected twist. There's romance, there's adventure, there's humor, there's mystery... It would make for...more
