one of the best introduction to greek philosophy...helps you a lot if you're reading Plato or Aristotle directly.

i still have yet to read all 13 volumes, but have read a few. Even if one understands Greek and Roman philosophy, it's important to read copleston to see what one has missed. He starts from the beginning of Greek philosophy and goes to the end of this era.
