Antonia Fraser is a great writer. If you liked Marie Antoinette by her, then you will like this book as well she she has a similar writing style. This book is really interesting! Antonia Fraser is a great writer and does her research on her subjects. She goes into great detail about the "gunpowder plot" to blow up Parliament but it is not boring or tedious.

Solid book concerning the 5th of november.  For the most part, well researched and an easy read (except for maybe the first two chapters).  The only issue is that one of the main points of her account of the events has little evidence supporting it and works off of circumstantial evidence, which is never too convincing.  Otherwise, worth reading.
