Incredibly overwhelming, both disgusting and beautiful. I would recommend this book to anyone.

excellent book

An extremely difficult but worthwhile read.

Although the author is considered an important figure in Arab Feminisms through Literature I pretty much hate her book.

Very dark, difficult but very touching and fascinating story. Extremely courageous in my opinion. Also makes me want to learn more about Lebanon's civil war and the splits in its society

it was okay, nothing extraordianry or catchy except for 1 or 2 scenes...

A genuine reinactment of the Lebanese civil war... haven´t read anything quite like it. A very personal story which displays the deepeset human suffering from a woman´s perspective and explains that society...
