a lot of depressing stories about arranged marriage...hmm...ok read... sort of sadness!

Horrible .. if you want to be upset and sad for a time then you should read this book. Its a bunch of short stories where each arranged marriage turns out to be bad for one reason or the other. I'm not all for arranged marriages but this was a bit too much for me.

Its a collection of short stories about Indian-born bengali girls and women torn between old and new world values. I found each story more depressing than the other and ending abruptly, making me wonder what the author was trying to narrate.
