Margaret Atwood is a marvelous author. I am fascinated by all of her books.

A friend...Jeannie you know who you are...was responsible for beginning my saga with MA...with a copy of this novel...sent a long time ago. That copy has since disappeared into someone's library but I have replaced it. Truly brilliant and possibly like 1984 and Clockwork Orange already obsolete at publication. The horror has gone beyond the imagination.

This is one of the most disturbing books I've ever read. Not sure if that makes it good or bad.

I am left to wonder if this book is more poignant today than when it was written. I am still not a fan of Margaret Atwood (I feel guilty for being male whenever I read her books) but am glad I finally got around to reading this book. That makes 2 MA's down and all the rest to go.
