Re-read for bookclub. She can write like no one else. Our heroine is hilarious, the way she stumbles from life to life, like the romance novels she pens, not even trying just drifting along into these dramatic situations and then suddenly pullling a runner. Again.

Again, a literary masterpiece that reinforces for you what the experience of a novel does for you, taking you out of your realm into another's: the character the book is about, and it's done with superb prose.

Not fantastic. Atwood made an attempt at combining her more overtly feminist style with her more mainstream novel writing resulting in an acceptable work that fails to full engage

An enjoyable enough read. But I felt let down by the ending.

Joyous, sensual, and marvelously funny.

It reminded me of Cat's Eye. The brutality that women and young girls bestow on their peers cam through in this book in a similar way. As a whole though, different facets of the novel and the complexes of the protagonist that were touched upon were not developed in significant ways and therefore not completely captivating. It's no where near the caliber of storytelling seen in her other novels.

Pretty cool marriage of "literary" writing about a romance writer with romance itself. And, hey, I should like it, right? I wrote my Honors thesis (in part) about it . . .

Atwood is a modern literary genius. Sharp as a knife, and extremely insightful. Her novels have been my guide books to life since my school days: Lady Oracle being the first i read. I trekked half way across London to meet her and get her to sign my copy of The Blind Assasin

In my opinion, this novel is Atwood's best work. One of the best books i've ever read. This is, in my opinion, Margaret Atwood's finest work.
