Ian McEwan is an undisputedly great modern author.  I'll continue to read his novels as few of his contemoraries manage to combine such beautiful prose & profound truths in such a deceptively simplistic style.

HOWEVER~Despite winning the coveted Booker Prize, this is not his best work.

Another beautifully written novel by McEwan.  Story is sparse but interesting and a little creepy and a little sad and very ironic.
