An ok read, but worth waiting for the paperback. Predictable, especially if you've read Brown before. I still tore through the book in just a few days, but it didn't suck me in like Davinci Code or Angels and Demons.
His previous books were better. This one has a slow beginning and a predictable ending. Slight disappointment. The interesting aspect of this book is the history of DC and its buildings.
Good book. Lots of very interesting architecture, history of words, suspense, etc. .... could have been a bit shorter, if you ask me. I found parts of it getting a bit tedious, but overall, a great read.
Not as amazing as Da Vinci Code & Angels and Demons but nice for change in the historical settings, i.e. US, instead of Europe. I find some parts of the story not well-tightened. Mak'lah's (son of Peter S.) motive to set himself against the Solomon family not convincing? He would actually keep photos of his transformation from Zachery into someone so fearful in his mansion?
