This is a must read for anyone who has worked or is interested in "futures" strategic assessments. I won't say I buy all of it but the reasoning is sound, analysis well presented and conclusions supportable. Mostly Poli Sci books I find to be dry and difficult to get through...not so here. His use of history and geography to determine the next moves in a global game of chess are fascinating!

To claim the future is fundamentally unpredictable and then predict a century of continued American global dominance: that contradiction is the basic flaw of this book, which reads like a pro-American wish list for the future.
