Grand New Party: How Republicans Can Win the Working Class and Save the American Dream

Republican political leadership at the national level has been devoid of new ideas in recent years. I certainly don't agree with all the ideas offered in this book but they are fresh and sane perspectives.

For the most part, this book correctly identifies many of the problems facing working Americans. However, all the solutions are not quite as well thought out as they could have been, especially in regards to the problems of the deficit. Overall, though, it was good, but we've heard most of these ideas before.

This book is about ideas as to how the republican party could change it's platform to really appeal to the people. I generally despise the republican party (and democratic party as well), but I saw an inteview with one of the authors on TV, and it surprised me how much his ideas were very pragmatic and moderate.
