Was eager to read this but found it a bit bizarre and a bit of a letdown...was short and sweet ok for holiday reading but pretty forgetable.

Read this after finishing 'Atonement' and was rather disappointed.

There were some lovely parts in this book and it was wonderfully written but I simply felt let down by it. I kept waiting for something, anything but there was nothing. It didn't even capture me emotionally and by the end I felt cheated.
