I'm guessing Mr. Grisham isn't teaching Baptist Sunday School anymore. Not writing short stories like this.
Thought it was a wonderful collection: humor, sad, ironic, disturbing...had it all.
Not your typical Grisham law novel...but a worthwhile read.

For a collection of short stories, the writing style of Grisham is prevalent of course. Each story was very good, however I personally could have done without the final story, "Funny Boy". Felt too much like a story thrown in for political correctness. Not his style and an unnecessary story for the collection. But all-in-all a good read.
Really enjoyed this collection of short stories. Blood Drive was my favorite and was highly entertaining. Characters were well developed given the length of the stories. Fetching Raymond was the weakest story and depressing. Funny Boy was a good read as was Casino.
Just finished this one. Grisham does a nice job of putting together a book of short stories. I found them all very entertaining and it was also nice to be able to read a couple stories, put the book down and come back later without having to worry about where I left off.
Not your typical Grisham courtroom drama stories but entertaining just the same. Most, but not all, were good enough that i was hoping for more. Some really great characters that could be put into longer, full- length novels.Re-readable for sure.
