Bill Bryson African Diary

A must for any Bill Bryson fan. The only moan I have is it is to short!

The beginning is quite funny, but towards the end you get the feeling that Bryson lost interest in the whole thing, probably wanting to turn to his other projects as soon as possible. Not his best book ever. I'd like to read more of him on Africa - but maybe it would be quite difficult for him to be funny without appearing racist. Great, insightful book, but far too short. At least the profits from the purchase went to charity...

Although this book was short it was still a good read. Funny and Real, Bill Bryson not only paints a picture with words, he opens up the world so we can all experience it
