Just finished this bad boy. Very good read, takes a look at the seventh crusade from a Spanish perspective which is fairly unique. Very well researched and written, divided between the accounts of a crusader and the monk sent to excorcise him. Would recommend it to anyone, especially those interested in this period of history.

Probably my favourite book. The tale of a man who returns from the Crusades a broken man. A monk is called in to try and exorcise his demons and in doing so, his amazing story is retold. Superbly written and oozing with historical accuracy.
