Just when you think nothing new can be added to the worn dystopian sci fi genre, Atwood updates it using facts and information from our current generation, with chilling results. Margaret Atwood's Oryx and Crake is the best kind of science-fiction novel - a well-crafted, compelling story that explore ideas about science. The ideas explored in the novel are the ethics of genetic engineering and a dystopian look at where it could potentially be taking us.
