One of the best books i've read this year. I wasn't a big fan of Cormier after reading The Chocolate War, but I gave him another chance and am so glad i did!
This book is dark with slight humor and just a pinch of sexy:) And the ending is sad and perfect.

I was disappointed with the direction the author took with this toward the end. I wanted the two characters to interact even more and they didn't. The ending happens too quickly, and I'm not sure of the reason for it. The premise intrigued me, but I don't like the way the story went.
I read this book quite a long time ago, but it will always stick with me. Never before had I read a crime novel from the perspective of a serial killer. Cormier does an excellent job of having you drawn in to the monster of a man and making him feel human.
