I enjoyed this book so much more than Gathering Blue, the 2nd in the series. I cared more about the characters and there was plenty of conflict to keep me interested. I am definiely glad I finished the series.
It's an interesting sequel to Gathering Blue.
I've read it multiple times, it is amazing.
The only recommendation I have is to read Gathering Blue and The Giver first, since this story combines both worlds.
Combines The Giver and Messenger. Bit of magic-y stuff that doesn't really mesh with the first two. Not my favorite. You can enjoy the other two without this one (although this does give a little bit of closure if you're into that sort of thing).
