A story about a small group of teenage boys, and eventually one girl, who, for whatever reason, find themselves inhabiting a maze of shifting walls and bizarre organo-mechanical beasties. They don't know why they're there or what their purpose is, beyond survival. The protagonist is...more

I really enjoyed this story. It pulled me in right away. The ending was a little violent for my liking, but it also left me wanting more. I cannot wait until the 2nd book comes out.

It's not bad. The main character spends most of the book frustrated. So, guess what? The reader spends most of the book frustrated. It took too long to answer questions.

Just finished this book this morning and felt it was a good read. Adventure fiction is my favourite category, and this just falls right in it. A touch of sarcasm and a tear of friendship = Wicked...more

Little did I know that The Maze Runner is the first in a series by James Dashner until I got to the end and it said "End of Book One." I'm hooked, however, and will eagerly await the next installment. The Maze Runner will surely pick up a following of young adult readers, especially those who enjoy futuristic plots. Although I'm no longer a young adult, I did like The Maze Runner very much.
